Terms and Conditions
Note the following terms and conditions for participation:

  • All presenters must register for the conference and pay the regular conference or day pass fees.
  • The submission of a presentation does not guarantee participation in an ASBO International educational offering.
  • Proposals will only be accepted electronically, via ASBO's Online Call for Presentations.
  • The proposal's submitter will serve as the primary contact for ASBO, and must provide a valid email address. The Primary Contact is responsible for communicating with the co-presenter(s) regarding the final acceptance or non-acceptance of the learning activity, audiovisual equipment request, deadlines, slides, handouts, and session details. The permissions and consents granted by the Primary Contact are considered effective for all presenters of the session.
  • Co-presenter(s) must agree to the terms and conditions for participation.
  • If the presenter is a company representative, a school business official must co-present.
  • Complete required fields in all sections. Do NOT use all capital letters. If you do so, your submission will automatically be disqualified for consideration. You may exit and enter the abstract proposal submission process as many times as needed to edit and complete your proposal.
  • There are no spelling or grammar check functions within the online submission process. We suggest that you first develop your proposal in a word processing program such as Microsoft Word and then copy and paste the information in the appropriate sections to ensure accuracy.
  • ASBO strongly encourages limiting the number of participants for a panel presentation, to no more than four per session.
  • As part of its continuing education efforts, ASBO records its programs and makes those audio and/or video recordings, and/or edited transcriptions available to its members and other professionals interested in the topics. All participants will be asked to grant ASBO permission to record, edit, transcribe, archive, duplicate, distribute, reproduce and sell any written or visual material submitted in connection with and including the oral presentation delivered at this program, in any way ASBO deems appropriate.
  • If the program is selected, ASBO reserves the right to revise titles, reassign the identified topic area, or edit the program summary for promotional and program materials.
  • Incomplete abstract proposals will not be eligible for consideration for ASBO educational offerings.
By submitting a proposal, you are agreeing to abide by the deadlines outlined in the Call for Presentations guidelines, are indicating that you understand the responsibilities of Primary Contact, and are committing to present in the time slot assigned to your session by the ASBO Program Committee.
